Birds of a Feather

Arizona is known for many things. Scorching summers. Majestic sunsets. Sweeping panoramas of saguaros. But…ostriches?

Well, you’d be surprised, because for years the Rooster Cogburn Ostrich Ranch has been a staple where visitors traveling between Tucson and Phoenix can stop and see the feathered locals.

Recently, our Intermountain Academy students had the chance to see what it was all about. They ended up meeting more than just the quintessential ostriches, getting to feed parakeets, donkeys, and even interact with some new additions: stingrays!

Talk about a great day out for our students. Arizona, you never keep surprising us!
