Norris Tapped as Executive VP & COO

TUCSON, AZ – August 30, 2018 – Intermountain Centers today announced that Craig A. Norris has been appointed executive vice president & chief operating officer and will oversee the operations of Intermountain and the recently acquired Community Partners, Inc. Norris is a senior level executive with over 20-years of proven operational performance and organizational leadership.

Rose M. Lopez, president & CEO of Intermountain Centers and Community Partners, Inc., said, “Craig is a seasoned and trusted leader who consistently delivers results.  He is uniquely qualified to drive strategic prioritization and accountability within our expanded integrated care system with a focus on operational excellence and member service and satisfaction.”

Effective immediately, Norris will assume operational responsibility for the combined human services and behavioral health programming, streamlining operations and mobilizing a high performing culture delivering accountable results for members and funders alike.

About joining the Intermountain team, Norris said, “Intermountain’s integrated care model and its 45-year history of being a thought leader in this industry has never been more compelling.”  He added, “I am incredibly energized to help lead the organization to its next phase of care and community service, tied with operational excellence.”

Prior to this appointment, Norris was the COO of the Providence Service Corporation, Inc., (Nasdaq: PRSC).  He was responsible for the overall operational performance of Providence, a national, multi-state, public company focused on government privatization initiatives including, Medicaid behavioral health, non-emergency medical transportation management, social services and workforce development/job training. Norris was responsible for the organizational leadership of approximately of 8,000 employees. Upon his departure, services at Providence had annualized revenue exceeding $900M.

Norris earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Arizona. He went on to earn a master’s degree in counseling and another in organizational management; both from the University of Phoenix.

Intermountain Centers recently became the sole member of Community Partners Inc., thus creating one of the largest and most robust integrated care systems in Arizona.  The merging of these two agencies will provide an extensive continuum of services to the combined 16,000 members throughout Arizona.  In addition, the consolidation opens the door to build system capacity with the expansion of programs and development of new innovations.

For the immediate future, CPI and Intermountain Centers will continue to serve members under their current brands while the administrative functions of both organizations will be consolidated, thus creating economies of scale and a stronger infrastructure to support programs and best serve the members.  Intermountain’s president & CEO, Rose M. Lopez, will lead both organizations.
