Giving back in Southern Arizona

by admin / Friday, 24 March 2017 / Published in News

Tucson Conquistadores: The civic group donated $12,500 to Intermountain Centers for new PE equipment for students at Intermountain Academy. The school serves students with autism in grades kindergarten through high school. Since its inception in 1962, the Tucson Conquistadores has raised $32 million for young athletes. Professional golf has been the primary source of the Conquistadores’ success.

Kneaders Bakery and Cafe: The Tucson location hosted a cookie decorating party in celebration of Valentine’s Day for the patients on the pediatric floor at Tucson Medical Center. The Kneaders team plans to dedicate more time to the children in the medical center.

Diaper Bank of Southern Arizona: As part of a grant from the National Diaper Bank Network, the Diaper Bank of Southern Arizona received 500,000 donated diapers. The diapers will be distributed to families in need through the Diaper Bank’s 53 partner agencies. In 2016, the Diaper Bank of Southern Arizona distributed more than one million free diapers to 13,241 families.
