TUCSON, AZ (August 24, 2018) – Intermountain Centers announced today that it has become the sole member of Community Partners Inc., thus creating one of the largest and most robust integrated care systems in Arizona.  The merging of these two agencies will provide an extensive continuum of services to the combined 16,000 members throughout Arizona.  In addition, the consolidation opens the door to build system capacity with the expansion of programs and development of new innovations.

For the immediate future, CPI and Intermountain Centers will continue to serve members under their current brands while the administrative functions of both organizations will be consolidated, thus creating economies of scale and a stronger infrastructure to support programs and best serve the members.  Intermountain’s president & CEO, Rose M. Lopez, will lead both organizations.

About the merger Lopez said, “This consolidation will greatly benefit the 16,000 members throughout Arizona and will provide a seamless continuum of healthcare, education, and housing to individuals and families in our communities.  In addition, the consolidation allows for future contracting opportunities by expanding our child and adult integrated care services.”

Vanessa Seaney, CPI’s outgoing president/chief executive officer, said, “Community Partners, Inc. is honored to be consolidating with Intermountain Centers and joining their family of organizations. Historically, we have worked together for many years developing innovative programs to serve individuals and families seeking behavioral health services. Now our consolidated efforts and combined strengths will allow us to continue our growth as a diverse integrated healthcare provider across the State with a strong infrastructure for ongoing success.”

Adding to Seaney’s statement, Neal Cash, former president and CEO of CPSA and CPI, said, “As the Regional Behavioral Health Authority (RBHA), from 1995-2015, Community Partnership of Southern Arizona (CPSA) always valued Intermountain Centers and their commitment and dedication to the community and those with whom they work.  Their innovation and client centered approach places them among the best providers in the State.  CPSA reinvented themselves in 2015 as Community Partners Inc. (CPI); using their 20-years of experience they quickly established themselves in nine counties, throughout Arizona, providing integrated primary and behavioral healthcare to over 10,000 members.”

Cash added, “Recent changes and volatility in the behavioral health system have created challenges for providers. The consolidation of CPI and Intermountain Centers is an example of how these changes created an opportunity.  The consolidation will make both organizations stronger by creating a synergy that will benefit Arizona and those we serve.”

Intermountain Centers has been providing the highest quality, evidence-based, specialty human services for more than 45 years; from residential programs (group facilities and foster care) to outpatient services for children, adolescents, adults and their families, to educational and transitional support services.  Intermountain’s programs are strength-based, community-based and individualized to support the abilities of each member and their families to live successfully in their homes and communities.

Community Partners, Inc. is a non-profit organization with more than 20 years of experience providing healthcare and supportive housing services to individuals and families, including the development and management of a comprehensive integrated healthcare network.  CPI serves over 10,000 members through multiple clinical locations in Tucson, Phoenix, and rural communities of Central and Southern Arizona.
