In 1985 one of the most prodigious painting heists took place at the University of Arizona Museum of Art; Willem de Kooning’s coveted, Woman-Ochre, was cut from its frame, rolled up and whisked away by a mysterious couple. More than 30-years later, the masterpiece is found hidden behind a bedroom door in Silver City, New Mexico and is ultimately returned to the University. Now new clues have emerged about the quirky couple who are believed to have pulled off one of the most colossal art capers in history...
